Program Overview／プログラム概要

This program aims to provide students from overseas with an opportunity to improve their proficiency in Japanese language and to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and society. Participants must be undergraduate students who are enrolled in one of the partner universities of Takasaki City University of Economics that have entered in an agreement for student exchange.

このプログラムは海外（かいがい）の学生（がくせい）の日本語（にほんご）能力（のうりょく）向上（こうじょう）と、日本（にほん）文化（ぶんか）・社会（しゃかい）の理解（りかい）を深める（ふかめる）ことを目的（もくてき）としています。高崎（たかさき）経済（けいざい）大学（だいがく）と交換（こうかん）留学（りゅうがく）の協定（きょうてい）を締結（ていけつ）している提携校（ていけいこう）の学部生（がくぶせい）のみが参加（さんか）できます。

Takasaki City, one of the leading transportation hubs in Japan, is about 50 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo. The cost of living here is much lower than that in big cities of Japan, and people are kind and friendly. Since foreigners are not many compared to the big cities, it is a great study abroad destination to improve your Japanese proficiency level and experience Japanese culture.

全国（ぜんこく）有数（ゆうすう）の交通（こうつう）拠点（きょてん）である高崎市（たかさきし）は、東京（とうきょう）から新幹線（しんかんせん）で約（やく）50分（ふん）の場所（ばしょ）にあります。生活費（せいかつひ）は大都市（だいとし）に比（くら）べて安（やす）く、住人（じゅうにん）も親切（しんせつ）で住（す）みやすい街（まち）です。大都市（だいとし）に比（くら）べて外国人（がいこくじん）は多くないので、日本語（にほんご）の勉強（べんきょう）や日本（にほん）文化（ぶんか）を学ぶ（まなぶ）絶好（ぜっこう）の留学先（りゅうがくさき）です。

※One semester program is designed only for specific partner universities. Please ask your university if you are allowed to study only for one semester.

※Exchange students will be assigned an instructor, and classes will be held once a week. The instructor will also provide opportunities for students to interact with Japanese students and offer individual support for any concerns they may have about daily life.

※交換（こうかん）留学生（りゅうがくせい）には演習（えんしゅう）担当（たんとう）教員（きょういん）がつき、週（しゅう）1回授業（じゅぎょう）が行（おこな）われます。日本人（にほんじん）学生（がくせい）との交流（こうりゅう）の機会（きかい）を設（もう）けたり、個別（こべつ）の生活（せいかつ）相談（そうだん）にも対応（たいおう）します。

Tuition／授業料

Based on the agreement with each partner university, tuition of Takasaki City University of Economics will be exempted.

交換（こうかん）留学生（りゅうがくせい）は、各提携校（かくていけいこう）との協定（きょうてい）に基（もと）づき、高崎（たかさき）経済（けいざい）大学（だいがく）に授業料（じゅぎょうりょう）を納入（のうにゅう）する必要（ひつよう）はありません。

Accommodation／住居

Takasaki City University of Economics will guarantee your accommodation （Furnished）. In order to provide accommodation at reasonable price, TCUE signs the housing contract with the real estate agent and the students only need to bear part of the total costs. TCUE also covers Utilities （electricity, water, gas）, Internet access, TV receiving fee and the fire insurance for each room in the apartment.

高崎（たかさき）経済（けいざい）大学（だいがく）が交換（こうかん）留学生（りゅうがくせい）の住居（じゅうきょ）を確保（かくほ）します（家具付（かぐつ）き）。交換（こうかん）留学生（りゅうがくせい）の家賃（やちん）負担（ふたん）を軽減（けいげん）するため、高崎（たかさき）経済（けいざい）大学（だいがく）が住居（じゅうきょ）の契約（けいやく）手続（てつづ）きを行（おこな）い、大学（だいがく）が家賃（やちん）の一部（いちぶ）を負担（ふたん）します。光熱費（こうねつひ）やインターネット接続（せつぞく）料金（りょうきん）、テレビ受信料（じゅしんりょう）、火災（かさい）保険（ほけん）も高崎（たかさき）経済（けいざい）大学（だいがく）が支払（しはら）います。

Buddy Program／バディ制度

We provide a Buddy Program that every exchange student will have one TCUE local student as “Buddies" to assist incoming students to be familiar with the environment sooner. It is not necessary for incoming exchange students to apply for this program and we will just assign the buddies for all of you.

バディ制度（せいど）とは、高崎（たかさき）経済（けいざい）大学（だいがく）で学（まな）ぶ交（こう）換（かん）留（りゅう）学（がく）生（せい）が日本（にほん）で実（みの）りある留学（りゅうがく）生活（せいかつ）を送る（おくる）ため、日本人（にほんじん）学生（がくせい）が学業（がくぎょう）や日常（にちじょう）生活（せいかつ）のサポートを行（おこな）う制（せい）度（ど）です。1人の交換（こうかん）留学生（りゅうがくせい）に対（たい）して、1人の日本人（にほんじん）学生（がくせい）がつきます。交換（こうかん）留学生（りゅうがくせい）全員（ぜんいん）に割（わ）り当（あ）てられますので、この制度（せいど）に個別（こべつ）に申（もう）し込（こ）みをする必要（ひつよう）はありません。

Exchange Student Interview／交換留学生インタビュー

This video features an interview with Lennard, an exchange student from Germany who studied at Takasaki City University of Economics (TCUE) from September 2025 to August 2026.
The interview is conducted by his student buddy, Tokiwa, who supported him during his stay at TCUE.
In this interview, Lennard shares his experiences of studying abroad in Japan and talks about campus life at TCUE, including his classes, accommodation, daily life in Takasaki, and memorable experiences during his exchange year.

この動画(どうが)では、2025年9月から2026年8月まで高崎(たかさき)経済(けいざい)大学(だいがく)（TCUE）で学(まな)んだドイツからの交換(こうかん)留学生(りゅうがくせい)、レナートさんへのインタビューをご紹介(しょうかい)します。
